WORLD - Arguably the biggest political step forward towards better industry co-operation with international political authority was taken at this year's IMEX's Politician's Forum in Frankfurt.

EUROPE - IMEX Chairman Ray Bloom has hailed the 12th edition of the Frankfurt show, which closed 22 May, as the largest IMEX ever. There was, he said, "a more positive and buoyant business mood than we've seen for some time".

WORLD - The Joint Meetings Industry Council meeting in Frankfurt recently, has charted a new phase of development following the completion of an initial three-year programme.

EUROPE - The German meeting and events market continues to grow, with German meeting and event venues counting 371m participants at these events last year.

EUROPE - 'Save People Not Associations' by Irving Washington, Director of Operations at the Online News Association, was among the 10 track-led sessions available to 300 association executives at the IMEX Association Day at the Sheraton Airport Frankfurt.
