WORLD – Informa has formed a new single brand of 10 global business companies under the name Informa Exhibitions.

Combining IIR, Euroforum and Informa divisions, Informa Exhibitions will promote and manage a fleet of around 120 shows annually in the US, Europe, South Africa, Middle East, BRIC and Australia. Top exhibitions include the Monaco Yacht Show, Arab Health and IPEX, the quadrennial global event for the printing industry.

“Informa has grown rapidly through M&A and organic growth, and this new brand enables customers and the wider market to have a greater awareness of who we are, what we do and provide reassurance that they are dealing with considerable resource, scale and breadth,” said Informa Exhibitions CEO Will Morris.

Informa CE Peter Rigby (pictured) said exhibitions and trade shows were the most resilient products in 2010, while delegate numbers were up across the company’s conference portfolio.

“We are intending to launch new trade shows and conferences this year, build on our market leading positions in the Middle East and within the healthcare sector, as well as expand into key geographies within the Far East and Latin America,” he said.

The company reported an operating profit of £93.5m (US$152m) for 2010 in its
most recent annual results.
