GREAT HOTELS OF THE WORLD ADDS SIX NEW MEMBERS

WORLD - London-based hotel sales and marketing alliance Great Hotels of the World has added six new members to its collection.
 
Joining its World Luxury Collection are Premier Le Reve Hotel and Spa, Hurghada, Egypt; and Archipelagos Mykonos Hotel, Greece.
 
Joining under its World Premium Collection are: the Grand Hotel President Sorrento, Sorrento, Italy; Premier Romance Boutique Hotel, Sahl Hasheesh, Egypt; and Hotel Olympia, Carlsbad, Czech Republic. And, joining under its World Classic Collection, is the City Hotel Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The City Hotel Ljubljana offers views of Ljubljana castle and cathedral, as well as 204 guestrooms, air-conditioned meeting spaces, including a conference centre for up to 200 delegates.

EUROPE - IMEX Chairman Ray Bloom welcomed visitors and exhibitors to IMEX 2013 in Messe Frankfurt, expecting a total of 14,000 international meetings professionals to attend over the three days of the show.

WORLD - ICCA President Arnaldo Nardone has announced that Kuching in Malaysia is the successful bidder for the 2016 ICCA Congress, which will attract 700 delegates to the destination.

EUROPE - Prague has won its bid to host the International Congress of Veterinary Dentistry, which is expected to attract 500 experts from around the world.

AUSTRALASIA - Expansion plans for the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre will still go ahead, without the support from the Victorian Government the venue's Chief Executive Peter King has insisted.
