PIETER IDENBURG NEW CEO OF ADNEC

MIDDLE EAST - Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) has announced its new Group CEO is former Suntec Singapore CEO Pieter Idenburg.

Dutchman Idenburg brings more than 25 years of experience to his new role, which starts on 1 August. He has held senior management positions in a number of international organisations including American Airlines, The Walt Disney Company and British Airways.

At Suntec, Idenburg was at the helm of events including The IMF / Worldbank Conference, APEC meetings and the first ever Youth Olympic Games.

His Highness Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of ADNEC, said of the appointment: “Pieter’s experience and industry knowledge will strengthen theorganisation, and his appointment supports ADNEC’s vision to be the most successful exhibition, conference and events centre in the region.”

Idenburg added: “I am delighted to play a part in ADNEC’s future in Abu Dhabi, the region and in the exhibition and convention industry as a whole. I am sure that my lifelong passion for service excellence will support ADNEC to grow the business in line with its vision and values.”

The appointment completes the restructure of ADNEC’s senior leadership team.
