WORLD - International meetings and incentives association Site has launched a new contest, Champion of the Year, designed to showcase the best motivational experiences.

Winners will receive a high-end trip to México for two persons.

Site President Alejandro Verzoub inaugurated the sitechampion.org website designed for users to upload and vote on videos of any motivational activity that have been made somewhere on the planet. The condition is that the entrant must have collaborated as a professional or experienced the activity in a personal capacity.

You don’t have to be a Site member to enter and just voting could also win you a prize. You can register and participate until 15 September via: sitechampion.org.

In related news, Emmy award-winning travel journalist Peter Greenberg (pictured), meanwhile, is to headline the Site International Conference Education Programme in Beijing, 14-17 September.

Held immediately following Reed Travel Exhibitions’ CIBTM show, the conference will provide attendees the opportunity to network with China’s MICE community and learn how to do business in one of the most robust economies of the world.

Greenberg will deliver a keynote titled ‘How the Right Time, Right Place and Right People Create the Right Experiences’. He will share why human connections are critical to the most memorable experiences, as well as offer predictions for future impacts on the incentive travel and motivational events industry. Conference attendees will learn about what it takes to turn a good trip into an unforgettable, motivational experience.

The 2012 Site International Conference promises to deliver high-level topics never before presented at a Site Conference and the education programme has been verified by the Convention Industry Council to qualify for continuing education hours towards CMP and DMCP programmes.

Speakers joing Greenburg on the Beijing conference programme include: Professor Geoffrey Lipman, Director, Greenearth.travel; Roger Dow, President and CEO, US Travel Association; Sun Weijia, Vice-Chairman, Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development; Amy Spatrisano, CMP, Principal, MeetGreen, and Colia Dams, CEO, VOK DAMS.
