Renaissance Kiev Hotel

EUROPE - US-headquartered hotel chain, Marriott International, is to open its first hotel in Ukraine with the 173-room Renaissance Kiev Hotel. There are currently 35 Renaissance Hotels throughout Europe and overall 150 hotels in 35 countries.

Under a management agreement with Subsidiary Enterprise Grand Plaza, the hotel is expected to open in mid-2013 following an extension and renovation of the existing historic building formerly known as the Leipzig Hotel.

Kiev, Ukraine’s capital city, serves as the economic, political, and cultural centre of the country. The Renaissance Kiev Hotel is located a short walk from the city’s key attractions including the shopping district, government buildings and Saint Sophia Square and the Opera House.

“As we continue to expand throughout Eastern Europe, we are excited to enter exciting new locations like Kiev, which offer both stunning natural beauty, as well as a fascinating mix of old and new, rich history and culture,” said President and MD of Marriott International in Europe, Amy McPherson.
