San Diego Convention Center has named its board of directors, including a new vice-chair and secretary.
Rabbi Laurie Coskey has been elected to chair, Candace M. Carroll will serve as vice-chair and Gil Cabrera will serve as the board’s secretary.
The seven-member board sets policy for the public corporation that was created by the City of San Diego to exclusively manage, market and operate the 241,000sqm waterfront facility.
Rabbi Coskey is a community leader with 25 years of experience working with local communities in San Diego County. Her current position as the executive director of the Interfaith Center for Worker Justice offers a platform for this work.
Carroll is an appellate practitioner with more than 30 years of experience handling appeals in the federal, state and bankruptcy appellate courts.
Meanwhile, prior to forming The Cabrera Firm, Cabrera was a senior associate with Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps, LLP specialising in business litigation, intellectual property, employment law and white collar criminal defence.
