AEG Facilities, a stand-alone division of venue and live entertainment company AEG, has appointed Rob Hampton (pictured) as General Manager of the Palm Springs Convention Center. Additionally, Hampton and his team will oversee venue management operations for the Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism, the Palm Springs Visitor Center and the Welwood Murray Memorial Library.

Under the terms of the agreement, AEG Facilities will oversee the day-to-day management of the Palm Springs venues, providing such services as facility operations, event programming and content development, purchasing, vendor services, advertising and marketing. The company also will implement its proprietary programmes AEG S.A.F.E., AEG 1Source, AEG 1EARTH, AEG 1Force, AEG Encore and AEG Energy Services.
Additionally, AEG Facilities will manage the Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism to promote the City of Palm Springs.

The Palm Springs Convention Center offers 24,247sqm of space and there are 1,600 hotel rooms within walking distance.
The recently renovated Welwood Murray Memorial Library is located in the heart of downtown Palm Springs and serves as a resource for tourists and residents.
