Tourism Calgary has launched a new meetings website featuring planner-friendly resources and a new sales campaign.
The site: www.visitcalgary.com/meetings features customisable venue and supplier databases, event planning and activation tools and stories about Calgary.
Tourism Calgary is also launching its new Billion Reasons sales campaign reflecting the city investing more than CAD$1bn to enhance hosting infrastructure, including the $500m BMO Centre expansion at Stampede Park, the $550m event centre and the new Culture & Entertainment District.
“Beginning in 2024, Calgary will be the largest meeting and convention destination in Western Canada with the facilities and capacity to accommodate multiple, large-scale events simultaneously,” said Carson Ackroyd, senior vice-president, sales at Tourism Calgary. “With the launch of our new meetings-focused website and enhanced digital resources, we’re eager to engage with planners as they consider Calgary as a dynamic destination today and one for even larger events in the near future.”
