Calgary is one amazing location with two great venues:
Calgary TELUS Convention Centre (CTCC) – The CTCC is located right in the heart of the city, connected to four major hotels. It’s close to cultural venues such as the Glenbow Museum, Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre, the Stephen Avenue Walk, retail shops, entertainment, restaurants and services. For visitors to Calgary, the boutique feel of CTCC and the convenience of its city location is one of its greatest strengths. Just this year, the Centre has been given permission to host events on the outside patio of the South Building for up to 60 people. It can now also use a public mezzanine outside of the Exhibition Hall as pre-function space. The CTCC has also just inked a five-year contract with Superior Show Service (SSS) as their in-house partner for show services and material handling. SSS are event specialists with over 30 years of experience offering customized solutions for conferences and tradeshows.
BMO Centre at Stampede Park – The BMO Centre is Calgary’s largest event facility, with 265,000 sq ft, but that is about to change. Expansion plans for the BMO Centre are moving ahead, with an estimated price tag of $500 million, which will double the size and occupancy of the venue within the next five years, pending funding from the federal government.
