Australia’s Darwin Convention Centre (DCC) will welcome 300 members of the International Society for the Study of Iron in Biology and Medicine (BioIron Society) for their 2021 Congress.
The DCC worked in collaboration with Northern Territory Business Events to secure the event for what they say is an emerging destination for health research.
Professor Nathan Subramaniam, Australian Board Member of the BioIron Society, said the Congress would be an opportunity for delegates to have a truly authentic Australian experience.
“The Congress will provide delegates from all around the world the opportunity to experience the Top End of Australia while meeting in world-class facilities to present and discuss the latest research in this field,” Subramaniam noted.
DCC General Manager, Peter Savoff said securing this event for Darwin demonstrated the region’s ability to host international conferences.
The Northern Territory Government is supporting the event through the Northern Territory Business Events Support Fund.
