Eventia-IVCA rebrands to EVCOM


EUROPE – The recently merged events industry association Eventia-IVCA completed its transformation with a new identity, EVCOM, announced at the IVCA annual awards dinner at the Grosvenor Hotel, Park Lane, 29 March.

Six hundred industry professionals from the world of film, video, digital and live events celebrated this year’s award winners and welcomed the re-brand to ‘EVCOM Event and Visual Communication Association’.

At the awards, The Grand Prix Award for 2014 went to JB3 Creative/The Giggle Group for Crisis Christmas Cards.  

Best Film went to Publicis Chemistry for 4GEE at Work with Nick Saint Distribution and Most Effective Event went to Aeorema Twentyfirst for Microsoft – ‘Let’s Go Beyond’ @ The Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity 2013.
New for 2014 was the Production of the Year category which was won by MerchantCantos and Industry Award for Communication Effectiveness was awarded to Agro-Insight. Other notable wins saw drpgroup, White Boat TV and The Edge Picture Company picking up several awards each.
EVCOM Chairman Dale Parmenter said: “These awards showcase the very best in creative communication. This year’s winners have delivered outstanding insight and understanding in how to communicate sometimes difficult messages in a compelling and emotionally engaging way using all the channels available.”
Parmenter added the creation of EVCOM was both in response to a changing landscape and to establish a forum where leaders in communication can share, learn and network. “The list of benefits to being a part of EVCOM is already substantial and more will be added over the coming weeks,” he said.
