GBTA Foundation and Project ICARUS open nominations for sustainability awards

AMERICAS – The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) Foundation and Project ICARUS have opened applications and nominations for the third annual Outstanding Achievement Awards for Sustainability in business travel and meetings across North America.
The Project ICARUS Global Advisory Board and Sustainability Committee aims to recognise travel buyers, suppliers, intermediaries, individuals and groups who can demonstrate outstanding leadership, innovation and commitment to delivering best in class sustainability programmes, products and services across North America.
“The growing awareness of the importance of responsible travel management has driven a significant increase in the number of companies building sustainability principles into their business travel and meetings programmes and we are thrilled to once again recognise those companies and individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to this drive to greater sustainability in our industry,” said Bernard Harrop, Head of Sustainability at Project ICARUS.
Awards will be presented at the GBTA Foundation Annual Gala Dinner 2015 (date to be announced). The closing date for applications is 27 February 2015.
