Hubilo has entered into a partnership agreement with Constellar Venues, a subsidiary of Constellar Holdings (formerly SingEx-Sphere Holdings), aimed to elevate hybrid event experiences in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
The partnership says it intends to leverage Constellar’s partner networks in the APAC region, insight-generation capabilities, and market knowledge. Hubilo’s virtual and hybrid events platform with its engagement features will offer data analytics and capabilities for generating new opportunities for businesses and event organisers to deliver maximum ROI.
Allied Market Research anticipates that the Asia Pacific region will exhibit the highest CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 13.3% during 2021-2028, something Constellar and Hubilo suggest they aim to take advantage of.
Vaibhav Jain says: “We are raising the bar on virtual and hybrid event experiences. Our partnership with Constellar Venues further strengthens our commitment to cultivate a wider, more engaged audience and deliver higher ROI.”
Aloysius Arlando, chief executive (venues) at Constellar Holdings, commented: “As Singapore returns to Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) and countries all over the world impose varying degrees of restrictions to combat the pandemic, virtual and hybrid events like those Hubilo and Constellar offer will be key to restarting MICE events and travel and in helping to sustain economic growth in the region.”
Hubilo also recently announced six senior appointments, continuing a recruitment drive that has seen its headcount increase by 270 employees in just 12 months.
The key senior hires include: Cathy Song Novelli, SVP, marketing and communications; Anita Menon, SVP, culture and talent; Abhishek Jain, VP, finance; Sudip Mitra, SVP, engineering; Greg Volm SVP, sales; Shailesh Hegde, leader of global product division.
The company now has 300 employees, compared to 30 12 months ago, with recruitment focused across the US, Europe, and India. Hubilo intends to have 400 employees by the end of 2021.
Vaibhav Jain adds: “The Hubilo story continues to be one of remarkable growth and momentum, as our virtual and hybrid events model has gained growing traction in the marketplace. We’ve set our sights on accelerating this growth even further this year. The expertise of these new senior recruits will be key in supercharging the process, and with their support, we can look forward positively to our next developmental phase.”
The Hubilo platform enables the streaming of entire events through a mobile app.
Engagement is improved through a new global side panel that includes a new event feed, people directory, leaderboard, and ‘What’s Happening’ section displaying each live session, room, or lounge accessible to the attendees. The platform’s chat function has been given a new interface entailing features such as emojis for expressive reactions and the option to schedule meetings right from the chat. Lounges have been altered to include descriptions of each lounge, visibility of participants before attendees enter a lounge, and the ability to filter out inactive tables.
Event sponsors and exhibitors are given the option to add branded banners to sessions and be highlighted as a topic sponsor. Through the new side panel, sponsors can also engage with attendees through chat, polls, and questions.
Jain claims: “Through our engagement cloud, we now offer more engagement capabilities than any other platform, and our existing customers already see a lot of value around new opportunities to connect with attendees and enhance their experiences by partnering with Hubilo.”
