CMW recently visited the Danish capital of Copenhagen for a three-day media tour, encompassing sustainable tourism conference Tomorrow’s Urban Travel (TUT).
TUT was focused on the issues of sustainable tourism and aviation, and featured speakers including New York Times journalist Elizabeth Becker, alongside a selection of startup businesses in the tourism industry
These included Motes, an app that uses gamification to drive tours of less well-known areas in a city, and Luggage Hero, which allows travellers to store their bags temporarily in small shops, cafes and restaurants.
CMW visited the newly-opened Copenhill, a green garbage burning facility with an artificial ski slope and event spaces on the roof, as well as a number of exhibition and conference venues.
We also paid a visit to the trendy street food market Reffen, which is open to host events, and the new Maersk Tower in Copenhagen University.
