International Confex 2014 ready to welcome and inspire


EUROPE – International Confex 2014 opens tomorrow (12 March) at Olympia London. The UK event industry’s leading event will see government, celebrities, inspirational business leaders, high profile event buyers and the very best industry brands, all represented under one roof for two intensive days of business and networking. Over 300 organisations are represented among the exhibitors to this year’s show at the West London venue.

International Confex will once again be the focal point of the events industry, something we set out to do from the first day we took on the show,” says Event Director Donna Bushell. “We said we wanted to give the show back to the industry and it has already taken on a look and feel that we hope will make this industry proud.”

George P Johnson has developed a dynamic entrance experience. A themed central networking area and event brands are set to provide an inspirational setting for event organisers looking for something new and exciting.

Meanwhile, the comprehensive conference programme will see Nick de Bois MP officially open the show, followed by an industry inclusive debate on the response to the UK All Party Parliamentary Group Inquiry launched last year.

Karren Brady CBE, Vice-Chairman of West Ham United Football Club, and Kanya King MBE, Founder and CEO of the MOBO Awards, will be high profile keynote speakers, with heavyweight educational and content support from PCMA, Zibrant, the Business Visits and Events Partnership and George P Johnson.

The first 1,000 visitors each day will be entered into a free prize draw offering a host of goodies, and the best creative idea implemented for the show will also be rewarded with a cash prize of £1,000 (US$1,663).

Organisers promise visitors a host of new product launches for the events industry taking place throughout the event.

A celebrity mystery shopper will be walking the aisles of International Confex this year to give an impartial view of the show.

Organisers are still donating £5 to the Events for Namuwongo charity for every person that registers for the event online via the link and comes to the show.
