Malaysia set to welcome 42 business events in 2020

The Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) has announced some key business events that will be taking place throughout 2020.

To date, the national bureau has secured 42 business events for 2020, which will bring in more than 65,000 delegates from the industries of healthcare, telecommunications, science and technology.

These events will include: the 19th International Congress on Infectious Diseases (ICID), the Men’s Health World Congress 2020, the 30th PAN PACIFIC CONGRESS 2020 and many more.

In line with the Government’s aspiration to achieve 30 million tourist arrivals, MyCEB will continuously showcase Malaysia as a business events hub at several international roadshows.

Last year, MyCEB successfully surpassed its KPI target for the year 2019. As of December 2019, MyCEB has reached an additional 37% for international delegate days and additional 19% for international delegates.

Since inception in 2009, MyCEB together with its industry partners has secured an impressive record of 1,100 international business events.

These have substantially contributed an estimated economic impact of RM8.5 billion to the country.
