MCEC suits up and rides for youth mental health

AUSTRALIA – The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre’s (MCEC) charity cyclists hit the saddle in their corporate gear to raise awareness of local youth mental health issues in the inaugural Suit Up and Ride event, 19 November.

The MCEC team was supporting one of its Club Melbourne Ambassadors, Australian of the Year and Suit Up and Ride Ambassador, Professor Patrick McGorry.

Starting at Waterfront City Piazza, the cyclists raced around Docklands and MCEC Chief Executive Leigh Harry said he was “very proud of the MCEC team who participated and helped support Suit Up and Ride today”.

“We are always behind the work of our Club Melbourne Ambassadors who help us no end,” Harry added. “Patrick McGorry has dedicated the past 25 years to mental health in Australia.”

Suit Up and Ride will fund youth health programmes designed to increase young peoples’ knowledge of depression.
