MPI bolts on Core Skills Day to WEC

USA – Meeting Professionals International (MPI) will debut a Core Skills Day to professionals new to the industry or changing roles prior to the opening of the World Education Congress (WEC) on 23 July.
WEC Core Skills Day will be available at no extra cost to delegates and will include workshops for professionals who are searching for an opportunity to learn the ropes or get a refresher. They will offer content that covers budgeting and contract negotiation, which frees up attendees to explore more advanced education and experiences during WEC the following three days.
An MPI spokesman said: “The goal of the workshop is that by attending the training prior to the beginning of WEC, new planners will have a better understanding of intermediate to advanced sessions.
“The training is also open to event professionals who are not attending WEC but are still interested in gaining professional development from the largest association of meeting professionals and experiencing what MPI education can provide.”
The Core Skills workshop will be held at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando in Room S330E.
