Sarawak CB hosts fam trip to highlight the destination for business events

ASIA – The Sarawak Convention Bureau (SCB) hosted a fam trip for six potential association clients and three members of the media recently to showcase incentive programmes and meetings facilities around Kuching, Sarawak in conjunction with the Rainforest World Music Festival.

SCB’s objective was to introduce those attending the fam trip to the available products and services that highlight Sarawak as a business events destination and a prospective venue for their corporate events.

The highlight of the trip was Rhythms of the Rainforest, a hospitality suite organised by the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching set in the Bidayuh Longhouse of the Sarawak Cultural Village during the Rainforest World Music Festival organised by Sarawak Tourism Board. Attendees also took part in a forum dedicated to providing an in-depth look at the business events industry with a focus on Kuching’s development, which was followed by a discussion with industry experts.

“We hope that the association clients will return home [from this trip] with Sarawak in mind as their top destination of choice for future business events in Malaysia – a destination that offers unique cultural experiences and the adventure of a lifetime outside the meeting room,” said MD of SCB, Mike Cannon.
