SAS Event Management secures two international contracts

EUROPE – SAS Event Management, part of the Meetings Makers Group, has secured two new contract wins. The international supplier, which has offices in Salisbury and Glasgow in the UK, fought off stiff European competition to win retained contracts with the European Plastics Distributors Association (EPDA) and the European Association for Communication in Healthcare (EACH).
 
The EPDA contract, originally handled by an American organisation, requires SAS to manage the international membership database, website and annual conference, as well as direct a promotional campaign to highlight the benefit of membership.
 
EPDA, which has members in 20 countries throughout Europe, is holding its annual 2015 conference in Barcelona during June and management of the event by SAS is already under way with the launch planned for late February.
 
EACH is an interdisciplinary, non-profit organisation, which brings together researchers and trainers in the field of communication in healthcare. EACH awarded SAS a contract to bring commercial management to the research, teaching and lobbying activities that the organisation is involved in facilitating. From 2018, it will handle the annual conference.
 
EACH president Jonathan Silverman said: “We are delighted to have appointed SAS Event Management as our association management company. They were the most impressive of the numerous companies we  interviewed and their performance so far has exceeded our expectations.”
 
Meeting Makers managing director Clive Thomson said: “We are delighted to have won these two contracts in quick succession. Both organisations have differing needs and requirements, which our experienced team of event managers are looking forward to meeting.”
