Hamburg is set to welcome a slew of new hotel openings in the second half of this year and Marketing Manager of Conventions at Hamburg Convention Bureau (HCB), Florian Gerdes, hailed the new venue options for planners the launches will create.
Gerdes said: “The wide variety of new properties reflects the diverse needs of planners, many of whom want to offer something fresh and creative for their delegates. This could be exploring the city by skateboard or hosting a stylish reception with lakeside views.”
The 212-room Pierdrei hotel (pictured) located in the HafenCity harbour area boasts its own in house ‘Hafenbuhne’ theatre. And delegates keen to explore the city on wheels can make the most of the free hire service, which offers bikes, e-bikes, scooters and skateboards.
The 4-star Ginn Hotel is already open and offers 130 rooms, all individually designed. There is a rooftop terrace.
Holiday Inn Berliner Tor, meanwhile, offers 316 rooms in various categories and five meeting rooms at this 4-star property. There’s also a 24 hour fitness area.
Super 8 by Wyndham in the east of the city has 276 rooms and offers free cycle hire.
