Thailand issues event standard

A convention and exhibition bureau has issues a quality assurance standard.

The Thailand Convenrtion and Exhibition Bureau said standardisation will serve as a guideline for investments, operations and management, and marketing support.

It believes the MICE Venue Standard helps create a good image for organisations and builds customer confidence in the country’s MICE standard.

Mr. Nopparat Maythaveekulchai, President of TCEB, said: “The master plan was conducted based on in-depth research that integrated qualitative databases with SWOT analysis which shaped our vision, mission and strategies to create model MICE venue standard. The six strategies under the masterplan are: improvement of Thailand’s MICE venue standard (TMVS) to meet international standards; development of human resources related to TMVS; advancement of IT systems for TMVS; public relations and marketing promotional activities for the TMVS; support for the ASEAN’s MICE Venue Standard; and mobilisation of the MICE Venue Standard towards sustainability.”
