New appointments at Hong Kong meetings team in London

ASIA – Meetings and Exhibitions Hong Kong (MEHK), a division of the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), has announced two new appointments in the London office: Mercedes Alonso as MICE manager and Mairead Douglas (pictured) as MICE executive. Both will work alongside Helen Chan, MICE manager, who recently celebrated 15 years at the board. Chan and Alonso will work across international associations across Europe, with Alonso taking the lead on the UK market and Chan on the European market. Alonso was previously a sales and sponsorship manager for the IBTM Portfolio in Reed Exhibitions. Dawn Page, director for UK & Northern Europe at HKTB said: “We are pleased to welcome two new members to our London team. Mairead and Mercedes will be fundamental in helping to promote Hong Kong as a top destination for exhibitions and events.”
