The Austria Center Vienna (ACV) reports that 43 events and 92,752 participants in the first half of 2026 is evidence of the success of its strategic focus on international congresses and corporate events. Management says strong demand is set to keep the venue highly occupied in the months ahead.
From 1 September, Susanne Baumann-Söllner assumed sole leadership of the company and said she would drive the growth agenda forward.
Both international congresses and high-quality corporate events are the key segments of business at ACV generating significant economic benefits for the city and Austria as a whole.
“Strong demand confirms that our strategic direction is delivering results. International congresses and corporate events bring economic impact, knowledge exchange and global networks to Vienna. In doing so, Austria Center Vienna makes an important contribution to Vienna’s competitiveness and international appeal,” said Baumann-Söllner, CEO of Austria Center Vienna.
The CEO noted the event calendar remains busy through year-end.
In addition to her existing responsibilities for the congress and events business, Baumann-Söllner will now also oversee property and facility management as well as the administration of the Vienna International Centre. These areas were previously under the responsibility of DI Dr. Michael Rotter, who stepped down from his position as member of the Executive Board on 31 August.
The Centre is also undergoing a total investment of €36m to bring the facilities up to current technical standards and ensure that they continue to meet the long-term needs of international organisations.

for international organisations, congresses and events and thereby make a meaningful contribution to the future of Vienna as a centre for business and knowledge,” said Baumann-Söllner.
