This year’s African Utility Week conference and expo, which took place at the CTICC in Cape Town from 16-18 May, was another record year for organisers Spintelligent. The 17th edition of the event welcomed 7477 attendees from 91 countries who attended the three day event – this is up from 6445 attendees last year. The expo featured more than 300 exhibitors from 11 different countries and 284 expert speakers addressed 49 conference sessions focusing on water, renewable energy, metering, finance and investment, generation, nuclear energy and much more. Sixty-six utilities from 20 African countries were represented at African Utility Week which also held its fourth Industry Awards gala dinner to honour people and projects that are making a difference in the energy and water sectors on the continent.
