US-based hospitality and venue specialists Convene has been celebrating the grand opening of its newest location, Quorum by Convene at 1221 Avenue of the Americas in Midtown Manhattan. An ‘ultra-premium’ meetings and events venue, the location serves as the signature conference space for international law firm White & Case, although is managed by Convene. Convene believes that the workplace of the future is a meeting space, “at our core, we’re social creatures and technology can’t wholly replace the magic that happens when you bring people together”, the company says and argues that high-impact, team-based work requires purpose-built meeting and social spaces with the tools and amenities that inspire collaboration. Between 2021 and 2022 Convene says it has witnessed a 52% increase in demand for meeting and event space. Quorum by Convene also claims to speak to the flight-to-quality and increased investment in elevated experiences that has emerged in an effort to attract employees back for in-person sessions. The new venue offers inclusive full-service hospitality within a 40,000-square-foot venue with a total capacity of 630 people. The Manhattan property also boasts six meeting rooms able to be configured to accommodate various event types – from town halls to classroom-style learning, corporate social events, and more. In addition, each room is also tech-enabled – inclusive of built-in video cameras, video screens, microphones, and speakers – designed to integrate hybrid capabilities.
