Conventa Crossover to go hybrid in August

Conventa Crossover, a conference and festival of events and live marketing, a spin off from the main Conventa MICE tradeshow for the South East Europa region, is to go hybrid this summer, the organiser says.

The event drew 150 international attendees in 2019 and runs for its fifth edition 27-28 August in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

“Due to the unpredictability of the current situation, we had to stay agile and react fast. A few weeks ago, we were confident that things will normalise by 27 August 2020… but it seems that this will not be the case. Our genuine goal of sharing knowledge, networking and exchanging ideas is still immensely strong and a final decision was made together with our partners; Conventa Crossover is moving forward in hybrid form,” the organiser statement read.

Regional attendees from countries that are on Slovenia’s green list according to the National institute of Public Health (the list of countries can be found here) will be able to join the Crossover experience live in Ljubljana, Slovenia, while citizens of other countries can join the action through an online platform.

“Our wish was for Conventa Crossover to be part of a meetings industry renaissance. To pave the way for post-coronavirus events and show the beauty, efficiency and power of live events. We will be live streaming the event and providing additional pre-recorded content, making sure all attendees are part of the action,” Conventa Crossover founder Gorazd Čad (pictured) said.

Organisers say that the venue for the live part of the event, Cankarjev Dom Cultural Centre has received a Safe & Healthy Events certification from the Slovenian Convention Bureau and underline that health and safety at the event is the number one priority.

The Conventa tradeshow ‘mothership’ is scheduled to run its 12th edition, 21-22 January 2021 in Ljubljana.
