GL events becomes AIPC’s first group member

During the AIPC (International Association of Convention Centres) Annual Conference, taking place at HUNGEXPO, Budapest, 4-6 July, it was announced that global organiser and venue managing company GL events will become AIPC’s first group member as from January 2023. The theme of this year’s edition of the AIPC Annual Conference is ‘Re-Shaping The Future’. Host venue HUNGEXPO is part of GL events Group and is showing off the transformation it has undergone over the past two years. During the official opening, Gábor Ganczer, CEO of HUNGEXPO and Greg O’Dell, president of AIPC confirmed the group member news which means full AIPC membership for all the convention centres within the GL events Group. GL events Venues currently manages 53 venues in 13 countries, including including 24 convention centres. Christophe Cizeron, CEO of GL events Venues, one of the three divisions of GL events Group, noted: “Joining the AIPC family is embracing its high level of quality, combined knowledge and experience, educational and ethical values.” “This is a very important step and a recognition of the value our association brings to its global community,” added Greg O’Dell.
