Organisers of the IBTM trade show brand have announced that the Department of Culture & Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) will be its Premier Partner for IBTM World 2019. The deal marks the first time in IBTM World’s 31-year history that it has taken on a Premier Partner. DCT Abu Dhabi will use the agreement to gain access to a highly engaged global audience of meetings professionals. Shane Hannam, Portfolio Director, said: “We have an excellent relationship with the team at the Department of Culture & Tourism – Abu Dhabi, having worked very closely together for several years now producing IBTM Arabia and I’m delighted that we have now extended that partnership to IBTM World.” The partnership builds on Abu Dhabi’s 2030 Economic Vision and is part of the Department’s ongoing initiatives to enhance social and economic development through the hosting of innovative business events. HE Sultan Al Mutawa Al Dhaheri, Executive Director of Tourism for DCT Abu Dhabi, said: “We are very pleased to announce our partnership with IBTM World. The agreement will allow us to build on our work to promote Abu Dhabi to a global audience as an unrivalled destination for business events.” IBTM World 2019 will take place 26-28 November at Fira Gran Via Barcelona.
