Meetings & Events Australia Reboot conference programme announced

Meetings & Events Australia (MEA), the peak industry body representing the country’s events industry is to take ‘Reboot’ as the main theme of its 2017 National Conference, which opens at the ICC Sydney on 30 April.

CEO Robyn Johnson, said: “The aim has been to deliver a programme that reflected the Reboot theme which symbolises the new direction our organisation is taking in order to better serve the membership and the events sector. It also reflects the redevelopment of the Sydney Convention Centre and the Darling Harbour precinct as one of the country’s top events precincts.”

The MEA Reboot Conference will also present event trends and provide a platform for new product announcements and updates.

International speakers will address plenary sessions, including Catherine Simmons, vice-president of Dreamforce. Simmons oversees the management of the Salesforce corporate event held in San Francisco each year. The event is one of the largest technology conferences in the world, drawing more than 170,000 registered attendees in 2016.

The conference will offer 24 sessions plus six ‘hands on’ workshops designed to upgrade or introduce new skills to delegates.

The Conference will run until 2 May 2017.
