Melbourne CEC’s CEO appointed new AIPC vice-president

Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) has announced its chief executive Peter King’s appointment as vice-president of the International Association of Convention Centres (AIPC)’s Executive Council.

Founded in 1958, AIPC is a global network of some 190 leading centres in 61 countries with the active involvement of more than 900 management-level professionals.

King says he is excited to join the Executive Council at such an important time. “It is such a crucial time for our industry right now, so to be part of the governing body which is steering us through is a real privilege.”

King joins representatives from Colombia, South Africa, Denmark, Thailand, Sweden and the USA as directors on the Executive Council.
