The inaugural SportNXT summit took place at the CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park, 6-8 April, where over 50 global thought leaders representing the sporting world were brought together for a three-day conference.
The conference aimed to probe issues and opportunities that will shape the future of sport, with speakers including NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, US women’s national soccer team captain Megan Rapinoe and Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali. Bart Campbell, event director for SportNXT, stated: “Primely positioned among the best of Australian sporting venues, CENTREPIECE presented itself as the perfect backdrop for a global sport business conference like SportNXT. Our delegates were able to experience the precinct’s unique offering, made even more special by the F1 being in town. Melbourne’s capabilities as a major event host is undeniable, and CENTREPIECE is a fantastic new addition to the city’s event offering.” [su_image_carousel source=”media:2041200,2041199,2041198,2041197,2041196,2041195,2041192,2041193,2041194″ limit=”20″ slides_style=”default;” controls_style=”light;” crop=”none” columns=”1″ adaptive=”no” spacing=”yes” align=”center” max_width=”1170″ “max_height_770″ captions=”no” arrows=”yes” dots=”no” link=”” target=”blank” autoplay=”2″ speed=”medium” image_size=”full” outline=”yes” class=””]
