MGM executive Nunn to return to Las Vegas as president of Mandalay Bay and Luxor

Chuck Bowling, who has been with MGM for 25 years, is to retire as president of Mandalay Bay and Luxor in Las Vegas. He will be replaced by Travis Lunn, currently president and COO of the Borgata in New Jersey. Nunn will return to Las Vegas in June to take up the role as president, MGM Resorts International, have announced. Mandalay Bay has the fifth largest convention centre in the US. Lunn has been with MGM since 2013 and Corey Sanders, the chief operating officer for MGM Resorts, said of Bowling’s career: “We are incredibly grateful for his dedication to his employees, his property, and this company, and are extremely pleased that he will remain with the company as a consultant on matters relating to development, group meetings and special projects.” Lunn has previously served as president of the Gold Strike and general manager and senior vice president of operations at the MGM Grand. Other management changes announced by MGM Resorts include Ayesha Molino taking over as president and COO of the Aria and Vdara, where she replaces Anton Nikodemus. Molino was previously MGM’s senior vice-president of public affairs. Rick Limardo has also been promoted to senior vice-president of government affairs at the group. MGM Resorts International has also unveiled its vision to transition Empire City Casino by MGM Resorts into a world-class entertainment destination, MGM Empire City, if awarded a commercial casino licence for its historic Yonkers, New York site. Key elements of the phase one design include a comprehensive casino floor redevelopment and expansion, 5,000-capacity entertainment venue and technologically advanced meeting spaces.
