A new luxury venue has opened in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Queen Nandi Place launched on 4 April on the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge estate. The venue has views over the Zambezi National Park and the spray from Victoria Falls.

For the opening event, members of the travel trade and business community came to mark the occasion. Queen Nandi Place is part of the Victoria Falls Safari Collection, operated by Africa Albida Tourism. It will target high-end MICE events and aims to boost visitation during Zimbabwe’s low season.

The venue can host up to 180 delegates. It includes a dedicated catering kitchen and flexible space for gala dinners, weddings, wellness retreats, and product launches.

Group operations manager Andy Conn said the venue is a direct response to the seasonal challenges faced by Victoria Falls hotels.

“By attracting more upmarket events and meetings over our traditionally quieter months, we hope to fill not only our rooms but rooms across Victoria Falls,” he said.

Anald Musonza, head of sales and marketing, said: “Queen Nandi Place is just one piece of the puzzle. We need the entire community to rally together and actively position Victoria Falls as a world-class events destination.”

The venue is named after Queen Nandi, mother of King Shaka Zulu. Queen Nandi Place joins a growing MICE offering at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, which also includes a spa, restaurants, safari suites and cultural performances. The estate sits just 4km from Victoria Falls.
