ONYX Hospitality Group, a prominent hotel management company, is excited about its first roadshow in South Korea, aimed at expanding its footprint in this burgeoning market. The show will rolled into Seoul and Busan, 16-19 April, where it provided a platform for networking, presentations, and discussions with key travel industry partners. The roadshow featured collaborations with travel agents, corporate entities, tourism authorities, and airlines. Attendees engaged in table-top sessions and luncheons, aimed at fostering networking opportunities and exploring sales prospects. ONYX Hospitality Group was keen to profile its diverse property portfolio to the Korean market. ONYX CEO Yuthachai Charanachitta said: “Korea has demonstrated one of the fastest recoveries in tourism, with significant growth in outbound travellers and flights. In 2023, room night production from Korean travellers surpassed pre-pandemic levels, indicating a strong demand for travel. We see tremendous potential in this market and are committed to expanding our presence to welcome more Korean guests in the coming years.” ONYX’s diverse offerings cater to a range of Korean travellers’ needs, from leisure to corporate and group travel. The company is offering tailored ‘workation’ options and unique experiences. ONYX also showcased its commitment to sustainable practices and responsible tourism at prime Thai locations like Phuket, Koh Samui, and Krabi. Upcoming projects from the group include the opening of new properties in Malaysia and the relaunch of the Amari Bangkok, emphasising ONYX’s strategic growth and dedication to enhancing hospitality standards across Southeast Asia.
