Portland, Oegon, has just welcomed a new event centre with a 5,300sq.ft. (492sqm) ballroom. The Mindaro Event Center also has a 2,000sq.ft breakout room and banquetting capacity for 380 guests.

The venue is located three miles west of Portland International Airport, and can accommodate intimate meetings and seminars to expansive galas and conferences.

The centre is  designed with integrated technology and exclusive caterer is Jawfish Restaurant.

“The Mindaro Event Center is a key element of a unique hospitality ecosystem in Portland, which will ultimately provide meeting planners and guests with endless possibilities to create bespoke experiences,” said Phillip Wilson, general manager. “From tailored space planning to collaborative menu development with Jawfish, The Mindaro Event Center is ready to facilitate every hosting engagement.”

Mark Matthias, an investor in Jawfish, said it is also the only Le Petit Chef immersive dining experience in Oregon, providing diners with a culinary adventure that draws on three-dimensional visual mapping to create an animated and entertaining journey through the prepared meal.

The Mindaro Campus will also open the Hyatt House Portland Airport this spring, providing 112 suite-style guestrooms and the Mindaro, a JdV by Hyatt hotel, will offer 88-guestrooms when it opens in fall 2026.
