Radisson Blu Antwerp undergoes €9m renovation

The Radisson Blu in Antwerp has recently finished work on an extensive programme of refurbishment, with total investment reaching over €9m (US$10,5m).

The project began in early 2017, and has now concluded with completely new bedrooms, two new restaurants, enhanced meetings and events offerings and an upgraded leisure centre.

General manager Jacqueline Struik commented: “We’re delighted to be able to showcase what is almost a completely new hotel. The extensive renovations have transformed our hotel, creating a stylish and contemporary space that positions us as one of Antwerp’s leading hotels.

“With our superb location directly opposite the Central Station, our new-look product and our renowned ‘Yes I Can!’ service, everything is now in place for us to grow, and we look forward to taking the hotel to the next level.”

The project design was completed by Alex Kravetz, whose goal was to create a link between the hotel’s foundations and Antwerp’s history, as well as its future. One new addition to the hotel is the comic room – a showcase of the strong graffiti comic movement that exists in Antwerp.

The hotel’s 15 meetings and events spaces have also been refurbished. They are spread over two floors and feature modern new décor and new furniture in every room.

The Radisson Blu Antwerp is located on the historic Astrid Square, in the heart of Belgium’s second largest city.
