The Business of Events releases 2023 prospectus and welcomes new head of partnerships

The Business of Events (TBOE) has released its 2023 prospectus and confirmed that Rachael Boraston has joined in a freelance capacity as head of partnerships. While remaining not-for-profit, the new prospectus outlines commercial opportunities which will help fund the work of the new Policy Unit, which has been set up with the objective of developing a policy agenda for the events industry ahead of the next UK General Election. In her new role, Boraston (pictured), formerly head of destination at London & Partners, will be responsible for driving forward new opportunities to support the work of the Policy Unit. Prior to her career at London & Partners and London Convention Bureau, she worked as client success manager at the Financial Times and has worked promoting the MICE sector in Los Angeles. Over the last few months, the team have been working hard to build a structure that enables us to engage with the industry and to present and develop initiatives with key industry stakeholders. “To support this work, we have been humbled by the generous support of our existing partners, but more are needed to ensure greater progress is made.
