24,000 Rotarians set to Capture the Moment in Hamburg

Hamburg will be transformed into ‘Rotary City’, 1-5 June, as more than 24,000 Rotary members from around the globe convene on the northern German city for the 110th annual international convention.

With the tagline ‘Capture the moment’, Rotary members will initiate projects and network.

Delegates will attend the congress from 170 countries and Rotary President Barry Rassin says: “We are looking forward to introducing the city to our members from abroad and familiarising the community with local Rotary members who take action to make the world a better place.”

A supporting programme in Hamburg for delegates includes bicycle tours, an opening party at the Chamber of Commerce, a sailing trip on Alster Lake, as well as exclusive Rotary concerts in the Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg’s iconic new concert hall.

Exhibitors will be found at the 2019 House of Friendship located in Halls A3 and A4 of the Hamburg Messe & Congress (HMC).

Rotary will also reach out to Hamburg locals via information stands and events providing insights into the various projects the organisation runs.
