EUROPE – The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) kicked off its fourth Annual Europe Conference in Prague, 23-25 September, Czech Republic with two pre-conference education programmes themed around business travel management and the Global Travel Professional Certification, which was launched last year.
This year’s conference has attracted 400 delegates with more than 35 per cent being event and business travel buyers. The event has two dedicated ‘Give & Take’ knowledge exchange sessions, seven hours of dedicated exhibition time, a meeting of the European Strategic Benchmark Group and nine concurrent educations sessions over two days.
“GBTA continues to expand its training and development offerings to members through the GBTA Academy, providing a personalised and customised learning path for buyers new to the industry through to seasoned professionals wanting to gain the only accredited certification in global business travel,” says GBTA’s Regional Director for Europe, Catherine McGavock. “It’s great to see so many members participating in these courses and using the opportunity whilst at the conference to gain further qualifications.”
