New president of the Prague Convention Bureau

CZECH REPUBLIC - The newly-elected Board of Directors of the Prague Convention Bureau have elected their new President, Sanjiv Suri.

CZECH REPUBLIC – The newly-elected Board of Directors of the Prague Convention Bureau have elected their new President, Sanjiv Suri. 
 
Suri is the founder of Czech catering and hospitality company, Zátiší Grou and joins his two Vice-Presidents Ivo Miksa from professional conference organiser GUARANT International and Michal Kárník from the Prague Congress Centre.
 
The number of members of the Board of the association has increased by two, and now it has nine members. The change is given by an approved amendment to the statutes that newly define the audit committee of PCB consisting of three persons.
 
The general meeting was attended by 39 of the total number of 60 PCB’s members entitled to vote. The Board’s honorary members are the representatives of the City of Prague and CzechTourism.
 
The Mayor of Prague has become the Honorary President of the Prague Convention Bureau.
 
New board members in the category of hotels are JiÅ™í Beneš from the InterContinental Hotel Prague, Jan Kratina from CPI Hotels and Martin Žídek from Marriott Hotel Prague.
 
The category of destination management companies (DMCs) is now represented by Martin Lehký from Senator Travel and Jarmila Škoríková from Maxin Prague, the current auditor of the association. The category of Professional Conference Organizers is represented, as well as in the previous Board, by Ivo Miksa from the agency Guarant International and Aleš Pejsar from CZECH-IN.
 
Michal Kárník from Prague Congress Centre represents the category of convention facilities in the Board, while SanjivSuri from Zátiší Group is the representative of the category of catering andrestaurants.
 
Pavla Hubáčková from the Hotel Majestic Plaza, Martin KoláÅ™ from FRENCH-REST and Karel Knetl from AV MEDIA have become newauditors who will supervise the economic management of the Prague ConventionBureau.
 
The General Assembly also approved the PCB’s Annual Report for the year 2010, as well as the association’s budget for 2011.
