Mark Shashoua, CEO of Mining Indaba owners ITE Group plc, ceremonially opened trading on the London Stock Exchange, 11 January. The event, attended by partners including the World Gold Council, Memery Crystal, ICMM, The World Platinum Investment Council, Brunswick and Thor Exploration, celebrated the upcoming 25th edition of the largest mining investment event in the world. Mining Indaba is a fantastic event that is dedicated to developing the mining industry across the African continent.” Mining Indaba is an investment conference which presentsa platform for deal-making and networking, and the most influential players in African mining. Alex Grose, Managing Director of Mining Indaba, added: “Investing in African Mining Indaba, is the world’s largest mining investment conference, and this year it celebrates 25 years of leading investment into African Mining. “Mining Indaba 2019 is being held at a pivotal moment for investing in South Africa. This ceremony further cements our partnership with the LSE Group, supporting our main aim of helping mining companies access capital.” Investing in African Mining Indaba takes place 4-7 February 2019 in Cape Town, South Africa and the 25th edition is expected to be the largest one to date.
