Dubai will be hosting a global education summit during Expo 2020, named RewirEd. The event will take place from 17-19 March 2021 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC). It will bring together global education stakeholders to discuss the future of education and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The event is a collaboration between Expo 2020 Dubai and Dubai Cares, an organisation which aims to provide young people in developing countries with quality education. In addition, a new hotel has opened in the build-up to Expo 2020, the Address Sky View by Emaar Hospitality Group. This hotel offers 169 rooms in a “minimalistic but sophisticated” design intended to appeal to both business and leisure travellers. The hotel features a striking design with two connected towers, and is situated close to the Expo 2020 site in Downtown Dubai.
Lastly, Expo 2020 has announced a new initiative to assist local small businesses in providing catering services to delegates. Cafes, restaurants and food trucks will be showcased at Expo 2020, offering a home-grown selection of food and drink.
