Bettina Mumenthaler, head of convention bureau UK/Ireland at the Switzerland Convention & Incentives Bureau (SCIB), asks us to stop for a minute and think of an industry friend who might deserve a sweet thought and small token of appreciation: On a warm sunny day after a week of more hopeful news for our beloved industry, it seems to be the right time to launch our Spread Swiss Happiness campaign. After a tough year that has taken a lot from us all, it’s time to spread some happiness and kindness in our industry, to remind us just how strong we’ve all been. That’s exactly why Joel Schopfer and I have 50 ‘sweet Swiss surprises’ ready to send out to anywhere in the UK or Ireland, to anyone you think deserves it the most. Is there someone in our industry that has gone above and beyond last year? Someone who has lost everything? An industry friend who just really deserves something sweet? While there’s never a wrong time to reach out and say ‘I appreciate you’, today seems to be even more right – so go ahead and nominate your industry friend. Write them a nice message, too, and Joel and I will do the rest. Nominate here (conditions apply and deadline is 7 March).
