Pictured above: Harpa Concert Hall and Convention Centre From 29 September to 3 October, CMW’s Catie Owen discovered some of the stunning incentive offerings of Reykjavik, Iceland. The trip was organised by FINN Partners alongside Visit Reykjavik, Meet in Reykjavik, and Business Iceland. There were opportunities to experience key cornerstones of the Icelandic MICE Industry including the Harpa Concert Hall and Convention Centre, The Reykjavik EDITION, Grand Hotel Reykjavik, and Hilton Reykjavik Nordica. There was a chance to explore a local lava tube via caving, ride out to geothermal fields on an ATV, and through the lava fields on the back of Icelandic horses. Gentler examples included walking tours of the city itself, a guided tour of Reykjavik’s local gastronomical offerings, a dip in the Blue and Sky lagoons, and a screening of an award-nominated film at the Reykjavik International Film Festival. See our gallery of the trip’s highlights and stay tuned for a full report in the upcoming issue of Conference & Meetings World.
