The 2023 edition of Convening EMEA – an annual flagship event by global industry organization PCMA is finally knocking on the door to the Danish capital.  20-22 September 2023, Bella Center Copenhagen will play host to the latest iteration of the three-day immersive event aiming to bring together professionals and creatives from the global business events industry. Copenhagen, consistently ranked among the world’s most popular capital cities for meetings and conventions, offers a safe, tolerant, and green environment ideal for fostering collaboration and learning.

Nurturing the business of human connection

The theme for this year’s PCMA Convening EMEA is “Let’s Collaborate. Let’s Grow. Let’s Belong.” In a world of constant change and challenges, the event will serve as a platform for participants to connect, share ideas, and collectively shape a stronger future for the business events community. “We are hosting PCMA Convening EMEA to connect people who share a common purpose to make a positive impact. The business of human connections is what we collectively do better than anyone else,” said Christian Folden Lund, CEO of venue and hotel parent company, Bellagroup. “In a world of continued pressures and exponential changes, these connections will be foundational to building a stronger future,” Lund continued: “We are thrilled to welcome PCMA and Convening EMEA 2023 to Bella Center Copenhagen. Being able to provide the physical destination space for connecting the peers of our very own industry to share inspiration and knowledge is the epitome of our everyday mission: Hosting moments that matter.”

Sustainability showcase set to engage attendees

Bella Center Copenhagen, a premier Scandinavian venue renowned for its commitment to sustainable change, aligns perfectly with the event’s ethos. The host venue acknowledges the significant impact the industry has on the environment and aims to champion “responsible hospitality.” The “Bella Sustainability Hub” on the first-floor balcony will be a focal point during the event, where industry professionals can come together to discuss sustainability practices, share ideas, and inspire one another to address both present and future challenges. Gemma Strutt, director of Congresses and Large Events at Bella Center Copenhagen, said: “Sustainability is an ongoing journey, and we cordially invite our guests and customers to join us on the voyage toward shaping the sustainable hospitality and event landscape of the future.”

Close to the industry – and the city

Convening EMEA 2023 expects to host a record-breaking 500 participants and will feature one and a half days of a full conference program at Bella Center Copenhagen. Attendees can also join in-house sustainability and venue tours, just as the event will be enhanced by off-site excursions and events in the vibrant city of Copenhagen in close collaboration with destination organization Wonderful Copenhagen. Moreover, many delegates, speakers, and guests will enjoy accommodation at the neighbouring AC Hotel Bella Sky Copenhagen, creating a unique campus setting during PCMA Convening EMEA 2023.
