Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) has appointed YB V. Sivakumar as its new chairman. Sivakumar is a Malaysian politician and MP who served as Minister of Human Resources in 2023.
Now, he takes on the role of strengthening Malaysia’s position as a premier destination for international business events. As chairman, Sivakumar will prioritise innovation, sustainability and talent development.
A primary goal is to promote Malaysia as an eco-friendly business events hub. He will lead MyCEB’s board discussions, ensuring solid governance practices and seeking increased collaboration between the board and management.
MyCEB’s acting chief executive officer, Tan Mei Phing, expressed his confidence in the new chairman: “We are thrilled to have YB V. Sivakumar joining us at this pivotal juncture.
