The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) and BestCities Global Alliance have announced the three finalists of the 2024 Incredible Impacts Programme: the International Hip Preservation Society (ISHA), the European Academy of Childhood Disability (EACD), and the World Association of News Publishers (WAN-IFRA).

The Incredible Impacts Programme is designed to promote international association meetings. Associations of all kinds (medical, political, media and more) are considered, with finalists gaining the chance to compete for a $20,000 grant at the ICCA Congress in Abu Dhabi.

This October, each of the three selected associations will present their case, with attendees voting on the winner. The final score will be weighted between jury and audience.

ICCA CEO Senthil Gopinath commented: “ICCA is pleased to congratulate the European Academy of Childhood Disability (EACD), the International Hip Preservation Society (ISHA) and the World Association of News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) for their extraordinary initiatives.”

Caroline Mackenzie, executive director of the International Hip Preservation Society, commented: “The creation of hip preservation hubs across Africa and improving access to hip preservation surgical training, stemming from needs assessment conducted from this meeting, represents a significant step … “We are excited about the impact this initiative will have on healthcare systems in Africa and look forward to continuing our mission of elevating standards of care globally.”
