Over 300,000 visitors attended 120 events at the City of Dreams Mediterranean venue in the first 18 months since its opening in Cyprus, the management team reports. The five-star resort in Limassol offers 8,000sqm of event space and is home to the island’s largest resort-based expo centre.
Indoor and outdoor event spaces include a 2,000-guest capacity event lawn, Grand Ballroom and dedicated MICE lobby. Since opening its MICE facilities in July 2023, City of Dreams Mediterranean has hosted international conventions such as the IFX EXPO and I-CON, corporate meetings including for LVMH, Google, NMBS and Exness.
Additionally, the resort has hosted a number of large weddings, including the biggest Indian Wedding ever held in Cyprus.
“UK events are a key market for us,” says general manager, Grant Johnson. “There is a strong affinity between Cyprus and the UK, flight times are short, plus we have the perfect climate to host events at any time of year.”
He continued: “It has been an amazing first 18 months for our conference and events team which has significantly contributed to the wider industry in the region. With 500 rooms and suites, plus the island’s largest pool complex, the resort offers in-house catering options and unique private dining experiences at its several restaurants and outdoor amphitheatre.
